Perfect for football season and Pork Sliders!
3 1/2 lbs pickling cukes, thin sliced
3 red onions, thin sliced
3 cups apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons celery seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons tumeric
2 tablespoons mustard seed
In a very large bowl make layers: cukes, onion, salt. Repeat until all used.
Pour crushed ice over the top of the layers and mix.
Set aside for 3 hours.
In a large stock pot combine cider vinegar, sugar, celery seeds, tumeric and mustard seed.
Bring to a boil.
Stir in Cukes.
Bring back to a boil.
