These are the best pickled beets I have ever had!
15 lbs beets, cooked, peeled & sliced
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
2 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup pickling spices
4 1/2 cups brown sugar
Place sliced beets in jars.
Combine and heat vinegar, water, spices and sugar in pot. Strain and pour hot liquid over beets.
